How to Choose a Functional Wellness Clinic in the Denver Metro

Not every clinic that uses the words functional wellness works the same way. Here are the questions worth asking before you spend money on testing.

How to Choose a Functional Wellness Clinic in the Denver Metro

Functional wellness has grown quickly in the Denver metro, and the quality varies widely. If you are about to invest in testing and a care plan, these are the questions that separate a thorough clinic from a supplement storefront.

1. What testing do you run, and why that testing for me?

A good answer is specific to your history. If every patient gets the identical panel regardless of symptoms, that is a package, not an evaluation. Ask which panels are being ordered and what question each one answers.

2. How many markers are on these panels?

There is a large difference between a basic screen and a comprehensive one. Our core panels typically run well over twenty markers each, and a full thyroid workup includes Free T3, Reverse T3 and antibodies rather than TSH alone.

3. Do I get to see and keep my results?

You should receive your actual reports and a dedicated visit to review them. If results are summarized verbally and never handed over, ask why.

4. What does the plan include besides supplements?

Supplements are a tool, not a plan. Nutrition, sleep, stress physiology, movement, exposure reduction and structural care should all be part of the conversation. Ask how the plan is phased.

5. Do you retest?

Without follow-up testing, nobody knows whether the plan worked. Retesting on a defined schedule is a sign the clinic is measuring outcomes rather than guessing.

6. Who is treating me, and what is their training?

Ask about credentials and continuing education, and ask who you will actually see at each visit.

7. Do you offer virtual care?

If travel is a barrier, at-home lab kits and virtual visits make the same level of evaluation possible from anywhere.
